This week we had 5 darling chickens hatch from various breeds.  Everyone was able to watch one hatch, but the others hatched during the night or early in  morning.  We took the chickens outside on Wednesday and held them on our laps in the classroom on Thursday. Our eggs arrived this Monday and we set them in the incubator on Tuesday.   We have 24 eggs, but were told not to expect more than half hatching since they were mailed to us from a poultry farm in Arkansas.  We have eggs from  5 different breeds of chickens.  Everyone is working on chicken booklets [...]
