3-112 News Friday, May 4th 2012 Mrs. Reckwerdt

 Here are some photos of our  class making recycled paper.

In science we are also continuing to work on our chicken booklets.  This week in groups the students figured how how to tell if an egg was  raw or hard boiled.  They also broke open eggs to identify the parts and played a game to help with the egg vocabulary.  There will be a quiz on egg parts on Tuesday.

In math we will also have a test on Tuesday. This will be chapter 18 Fractions.  A Simple Solutions Quiz will be on Wednesday.

Students should be working on their social studies project which is due May 17th.

There will be a May Crowning Mass on Monday.

Room 111 Newsletter

Week of May 7th

  • Character book reports are due on Monday, May 7th.  Students will be presenting them all week.
  • Join us for May Crowning on Monday, May 7th!
  • Ch. 18 Religion test will be on Tuesday, May 8th
  • Ch. 5 Social Studies test will be on Tuesday, May 8th
  • There will be a Spelling test on Thursday, May 10th
  • Our Reading Unit test will be on Friday, May 11th
  • We are eagerly awaiting for the chicks to hatch.  May 14th – 16th are our hatch days! While we wait, we will be conducting several experiments in order to learn about the fascinating egg!
